Library:

Library is the nerve centre, a mirror and a catalyst element of academic functioning of any institution. Our computerized library includes large volume of reading and reference material.It has more than 6000 books on various subjects.A well-stocked junior and a senior library, with an impressive index of titles, covering resource /reference books, dailies and magazines. Our rich collection of books is updated regularly and students are encouraged to make full use of this facility to develop a love for books from an early age.

Computer Lab:
The school has three well-equipped computer labs for Junior, Senior and Higher Secondary wings. LAN has been provided for theory classes and audio visual presentations by teachers and guest speakers where students are able to do practicals related to the subject.

English Language Lab:
We have a full-fledged ELL with CD's, recorders,players and a number o audio/visuas to facilitate English Conversational Skills among students so that the nuances of the language are imbibed. Role Play, recitations, elocution, dramatics, spell bee. debate and essay competitions are regular activities done in the lab

To overcome this problem, Sheikh Ul Alam secondary school Institute has come up with a modern teaching technique for its students which not only enables our students to understand the contents of books eficiently but also develpops a scientific aatitutude among them.Sheikh Ul Alam secondary school is the first school in valley to have completely implemented the Smart Classes in the entire school. The school has transformed all the classrooms from Pre Nursery to 12th Standard into the Smart Classes. The Smart Classes help the teachers to evaluate the Academic competency of the students by identifying the learning gaps and the strength of the student and gives constructive feedback with a great source of inspiration and motivation and thus helps the students to improve.In our classrooms, a teacher delivers an extraordinary lecture with the help of the Smart System installed in the classrooms.Subjects like Mathematics, Life Science, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, English, Geography, Civics for Higher Classes or Rhymes, Personality Development Lectures, Games for Pre Primary Students.The teacher make full use of Smart Systems to deliver their lectures which not only help them to deliver an effective lecture but also help them grasp the attention of the students necessary to develop the higher order thinking and scientific attitude among them.The contents/syllabus in the Smart Classes is according to the JK Board as well as according to the Central Board. There is s separate lab called "Knowledge Centre" where teachers prepare their lectures and lesson plans. Prayer Hall/ Religious Education:
Religion is the central element in our lives. Throughout the ages, it is a propagator of basic values and ethical code which provides cohesion to the society and integration to personality. Keeping this in view, the school imparts religious and moral education. Trained Ulemas have been specially appointed for every class to impart religious education with special emphasis in Quran, Tilawat, Hadees and Kir'at.

Kindergarten Play Area:
A separate indoor play area prkovides a safe atmosphere for our young students. Soft play areas and equipment provide a variety of activities for the students to be occupied.

Kindergarten Activity Rooms:
These well-equipped and spacious rooms provide a wide variety of resources aimed at stimulating the interests of young students during recreation time and also for specific class activities.

Auditorium:
A multi-purpose auditorium with wireless connection and a seating capacity of 400 is used for all major school functions. Lectures, seminars, workshops and demonstrations are being conducted by the regular and visiting faculty members.

Sports Facilities:
As a formal center of learning,the opportunity to bring education and sport together is one of the main areas of focus at Sheikh Ul Alam secondary school. Along with the direst direct benifits to the students through improved physical skills,health, self confidence and self esteem benifits are also associated with skilled and regular exercises.All year round, regular courses in the various sports are run during and after the school hours. The focus of these training sessions is an overall development in the selected sport, with adequate emphasis on all round personality development through fitness and nutrition lessons. Children get a wide exposure to different sports activities. To ensure individual talent development in certain areas specialists are hired. Along with academics, physical fitness is given importance. With an eye to groom students into physically strong and mentally active members, a range of sports facilities are made available. This includes a basketball court, a football field, a cricket pitch, badminton volleyball and tennis courts and a playground with synthetic track. We offer a variety of extracurricular programs these include team sports for Middle Department students such as Cross-Country Runs, School Track Team, Volleyball, Basketball and Cricket. Students are also welcome to participate in a range of Noon-Hour Clubs.

Art, Craft and Music Classes:
Every attempt is made to introduce children to the rich and varied artistic tradition tradition of the country. Children are allowed to experiment and explore in their chosen field. Eminent poets,painters and singersare regularly invited to the school
First Aid Centre:
The school has a well-equipped health unit, manned by a Full time Doctor and two nurses. Students undergo regular medical check-ups and a health record is maintained for each child.

Laboratories:
